New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers may look dead and buried at 2-6 but their season could be reignited should reigning defensive player of the year TJ Watt make his return this week.

Watt hasn’t played since Week One due to a pectoral injury but the Steelers are optimistic he’ll be back in black and yellow on Sunday for the visit of a New Orleans Saints team who are 0-3 against the spread on the road this season.

Watt, who had a record-equalling 22.5 sacks last season, transforms a Steelers defence that should be healthier all-round after a bye week.

This is a nice spot to take Pittsburgh with their head coach Mike Tomlin 16-3–3 against the spread in his Steelers career as a home underdog.

The Saints were manhandled by the Baltimore Ravens on Monday in a game where their already lengthy injury list was added to, while there are doubts over who will play quarterback after another bad showing by Andy Dalton.

Denver Broncos at Tennessee Titans

The Titans put up a gallant fight against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Nine, taking Patrick Mahomes and co to overtime despite being without first-choice quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

That was thanks to being well-coached by Mike Vrabel and the efforts of running-back Derrick Henry, who has now topped 100 rushing yards in five straight games.

Henry presents a big problem for most teams but particularly to the 3-5 Broncos, who excel at defending the pass but rank 25th at stopping the run.

Henry has helped the Titans hit the ground running in games with Tennessee ranked in the top four for first-half points scored, while they are number one in the league for points allowed in the first half of games.

The Titans are 7-1 against the first-half spread and look a solid bet to be in front at the break against a Denver team who tend to start slowly.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs

After missing his entire rookie season through injury, Jaguars running-back Travis Etienne is clearly eager to make up for lost time having strung together some fine performances in his second year in the league.

Since Jacksonville cleared out their backfield by trading James Robinson, Etienne has flourished, putting up more than 100 rushing yards and scoring at least one touchdown in each of the last three weeks.

He can continue to find the end zone when Jacksonville travel to Kansas City to face a Chiefs side who couldn’t contain Titans’ bulldozer Henry last week.

Having started the season well, the Chiefs’ rushing defence has sprung leaks in the last few weeks and Etienne can become the third running-back in Kansas City’s last four home games to score a touchdown against the hosts.

Indianapolis Colts at Las Vegas Raiders

The Indianapolis Colts' season has gone up in flames and this week they added more fuel to the fire by sacking their head coach Frank Reich and replacing him with a TV analyst.

Jeff Saturday, a former Colts centre, takes charge of Indy for the first time against the Raiders despite having no head-coaching experience.

The notion Saturday can make it work on Sunday seems fanciful and it's unlikely the Colts offence, which ranks last in DVOA in the league, is going to see much improvement.

The Raiders head into this game having blown a 17-point lead in a loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars last time, failing to put up a single point after half-time.

Having been shut out by the New Orleans Saints the week before that, the Las Vegas offence isn’t to be trusted either, which makes the under a strong option.
