Best bet
Washington to beat New York Giants
No team are dominating the NFC East in the manner Philadelphia did last year on their way to Super Bowl glory, but leaders Washington can make a statement by winning at the New York Giants.

With four wins in their opening six games, the Redskins have sneaked under the radar, and reacted well to their disappointing loss to Indianapolis by beating Green Bay.

Victories over Carolina and Dallas have followed and they will be heartened to see veteran running back Adrian Peterson dong his bit - he rushed for almost 100 yards in both games.

The Giants, meanwhile, are struggling and the optimism about their chances in the off-season has vanished.

They have posted just one victory and while star wide receiver Odell Beckham rose to the occasion in their Monday night defeat to Atlanta, their 23-20 defeat was made to look better than it was by a late score.

While three of Washington's victories have come on their home patch and they are ranked just 25th in terms of points scored, they can still get the better of the Giants, who have conceded an average of 26.4 per game.

The figure at the MetLife Stadium is even worse at 29, so expect the visitors to hold the edge.

Next best
Tampa Bay +3.5
The Bucs needed a 59-yard field goal in overtime to get the better of Cleveland last week but they are doing well to make their presence felt in the tough NFC South.

Their victory could have been more comprehensive as they twice held a 14-point lead and they face a Cincinnati team who were stunned by a 45-10 defeat to Kansas City.

The Bengals started well with four wins from their opening five games but they were picked apart by the Chiefs and the Bucs have the potential to make it another difficult clash for them, with receivers Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson looking to excel.

Tampa Bay have enough offensive talent to ensure that they can stay at least within a field goal of their hosts.

Best points bet
Over 43.5 points in New York Jets at Chicago
Chicago's defence was lauded at the start of the season when linebacker Khalil Mack made an immediate impact after his trade from Oakland.

However, the Bears have slipped from the top of the NFC North to the bottom and have conceded 69 points in their last two games, the latest of which was a 38-31 home defeat to New England.

There looks to be scope for another AFC East team to make their mark at Soldier Field when the Jets head to the Windy City.

Todd Bowles' team have offensive injuries with running back Bilal Powell and wide receiver Quincy Enunwa ruled out, but they can still make their mark.

With the visitors averaging 26 points per game, the modest points total in this meeting could be under threat.

Best player bet
Jordy Nelson to score a touchdown
Amari Cooper's trade to Dallas means former Green Bay receiver Jordy Nelson could play a key role when one-win Oakland take on Indianapolis.

The Raiders have had a week off after a bitterly disappointing show against Seattle at Wembley and Cooper's departure in return for a first-round pick suggests coach Jon Gruden is already focusing on next season.

However, Nelson is capable of stepping into the breach in the meantime. He scored in their overtime win over Cleveland and the defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers before the trip to London and could prosper against a defence who are no great shakes.
