Best bet
Miami +7.5
As has been customary in the Bill Belichick-Tom Brady era, New England are firmly in control of the AFC East. But a trip to Miami has not always been one that the Patriots have found straightforward to negotiate.

The Dolphins have beaten their divisional rivals in four of the last five seasons in south Florida and Adam Gase's team have won five of their six matches on their own patch this term.

The Pats had few problems in beating Miami 38-7 in Week Four but their opponents remain in the thick of the race to claim a wildcard berth, so expect a committed display.

It is possible the visitors will be mindful they face another big game against Pittsburgh next week so if they are comfortable in the later stages, Miami could make the match competitive.

Jacksonville, Detroit and Tennessee have grabbed surprise victories against New England this season when Belichick's boys have been on the road and while another upset would be a tough ask, the Dolphins are capable to staying within a converted touchdown of their rivals.

Next best
Arizona +2.5
Detroit looked capable of challenging for a playoff spot after the first six weeks of the season but just one win in their last six games has left them floundering at the bottom of the NFC North.

The Lions have scored more than 20 points in just one of those match and won just one away match this season, so even a trip to a mediocre team like Arizona cannot be a voyage that they are anticipating with a great deal of confidence.

The Cardinals have won just three games all season but they should have been lifted by last week's success at Green Bay.

They are the league's lowest scorers - they average just 14.6 points per game - but they have remained competitive at home.

After losing 24-6 against Washington in Week One, three of their four home defeats have been by a margin of three points or fewer, so they should be capable of holding their own against the Lions.

Best points bet
Over 21 Buffalo points
Buffalo and the New York Jets have little to play for in the remaining four weeks of the campaign but there has been some enthusiasm about the recent performances of Buffalo rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

He has been performing to a decent level through the air and on the ground, including leading his team to a 24-21 win over Jacksonville.

It is only four weeks since Buffalo posted 41 points against the Jets at the Meadowlands and, with Detroit heading to New Era Field next week, there is a decent chance they can finish the campaign on a high.

The Jets, meanwhile, will be delighted to see the season end. They have not won since a 42-34 victory over Indianapolis in Week Six and are conceding an average of 25.6 points per game.

Best player bet
D Njoku to score a touchdown
Carolina are on a four-match losing streak that threatens to kibosh their playoff quest and there is no guarantee that they can get back to winning ways against Cleveland.

The Panthers have conceded nine touchdowns to tight ends this term and that means the Browns could get plenty from David Njoku.

Only number one receiver Jarvis Landry has gathered in more passes for Cleveland than the second-year professional from Miami University.

Njoku could prove to be a threat in the red zone for the Browns and add to his seasonal tally of three touchdowns.
