The Bengals are on a two-game winning streak, having thrashed Las Vegas (32-13) and Pittsburgh (41-10) since returning from a bye week.

The week off appears to have come at exactly the right time for Cincinnati as they had lost two in a row prior to those resounding triumphs.

Their haul of 73 points in their last two outings is even more impressive as star rookie Ja’Marr Chase hasn't done too much damage, recording a combined 71 receiving yards in the two wins.

Running back Joe Mixon has been on fire, though, rushing for 288 yards in Cincinnati's last two games and registering six touchdowns in their last three outings.

Most teams in the NFL have endured some kind of rut this season, and it would appear that the Chargers are in the midst of theirs. They are 2-4 in their last six games having won four of their first five matches.

Playing on the road has been especially troublesome for the Chargers of late. They were humiliated 34-6 at Baltimore, squeezed past Philadelphia 27-24, and fell to a 28-13 defeat at Denver last weekend.

Los Angeles has surrendered at least 24 points in their last seven consecutive contests and are ranked bottom in rushing defence, opening the door for a Bengals team ranked ninth in the run game to run all over them.
