LA Chargers at Jacksonville Jaguars preview

The Jacksonville Jaguars were dealt a hefty blow this week after their second-overall draft pick Travis Hunter was ruled out for the season, but his absence may not stop them from being competitive against the Los Angeles Chargers.

After blowing a 29-10 lead against Houston last weekend, the Jags have been installed as three-point underdogs against the 7-3 Chargers, who picked up their third straight win in last Sunday’s 25-10 home rout of the Steelers.

LA held Pittsburgh to 221 total yards and the Steelers’ lone touchdown came with less than three minutes on the clock. They will start Week 11 one game behind the Broncos – whom they will face in the regular-season finale – in the AFC West.

The Jags began the season with three straight home wins prior to a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and have allowed 20 or fewer points in three of four games at EverBank Stadium.

The Chargers have scored 24 or more points in five consecutive contests but they have also failed to cover the handicap in away games at the New York Giants, Miami Dolphins and Tennessee Titans.

The Chargers will be popular with punters following their dominant victory over the Steelers, but this represents a good chance for the Jags to get back on track.
