Houston and Tennessee face each other twice in the final three weeks of the season and the winners of Sunday's AFC South showdown will be looking good to grab the divisional title.

The teams head into their first meeting in differing form.

It seemed as if the Texans were at the top of their game when they claimed a 28-22 win over Super Bowl champions New England two weeks ago, but they slipped up against Denver in their next game.

The loss to the Broncos mean they are only at the top of the division due to a tie-break advantage, which will be erased if they lose in Nashville.

Improvements have to be made after they allowed Denver's rookie quarterback Drew Lock the freedom to throw 309 yards and three touchdowns, particularly as the Titans, and especially their rejuvenated QB Ryan Tannehill, are at the top of their game.

Six wins in their last seven games have put them on the cusp of extending their season and if Tannehill fails to replicate the high standards he has displayed since replacing Marcus Mariota, then they can usually rely on powerful running back Derrick Henry, who has been the second-most productive rusher in the league. However, Henry is rated questionable as he nurses a hamstring problem.

The Titans have been solid in defence and their visitors could be weakened even if wide receiver Will Fuller, who has been Deshaun Watson's second-favourite option after DeAndre Hopkins, can return from a hamstring injury.

The game could well have a playoff feel about it and, having battled from a 2-4 start to put themselves in such a great position, the Titans should not be expected to let it slip away.
