Game preview

Houston’s offence went wild last week as they beat Atlanta 53-32 with quarterback Deshaun Watson throwing five touchdown passes, and they can carry that through to their crunch clash with Kansas City.

After an inconsistent few weeks things finally seem to be clicking for Bill O’Brien’s team and they have managed to reclaim top spot in the AFC South despite divisional rivals Indianapolis beating the Chiefs last week.

Although they gave up only 19 points in that defeat, Kansas City continue to have defensive concerns as they emphasise their high-scoring offence. A catalogue of errors enabled the Ravens to put up 28 points against them and Detroit also had no trouble finding the end zone.

The Chiefs are likely to flourish on offence with QB Patrick Mahomes returning to Arrowhead Stadium, but the Texans have plenty of players capable of pulling off big plays to keep their side competitive.

Watson has not thrown an interception in Houston’s last four games, and with a rejuvenated Will Fuller and star receiver DeAndre Hopkins at his disposal, expect them to come out firing.
