Game preview
The last of this season's four NFL London games takes place on Sunday as Houston face regular UK-game hosts Jacksonville at Wembley.
The divisional rivals are neck-and-neck in the AFC South, where all four teams are separated by just one win, and the experience of playing in England regularly could give the Jaguars the edge.
Jacksonville have won three of their last four games in London, most notably thumping Baltimore 44-7 two years ago, and that experience should not be underestimated.
Doug Marrone’s side go into the game off after two comfortable wins, albeit against the hapless Bengals and Jets. However, the consistency of rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew and running back Leonard Fournette have made a real difference for them, with Minshew continuing to excel having thrown 13 touchdowns and only two interceptions this season.
Fournette has been quiet on the scoring front, but can boast the second-most rushing yards in the league behind Dalvin Cook and should give Houston’s sturdy run defence something to think about, especially with star defensive end JJ Watt out for the season.
While the Texans have been ruthless on offence they have been vulnerable defensively, allowing 24 points or more in each of their last four games.
That could be of concern to head coach Bill O’Brien, especially considering that Jacksonville have kept their opponents’ tally to 17 points and under in four of their last six games.
Houston won 13-12 when the sides met in September, but the Jaguars look much more confident now and could prevail in a close game.
