Don't rule out a strong show from Josh Johnson at Tennessee

A low total-points line suggests a thriller is hardly anticipated in Nashville but Washington's clash with Tennessee is one where both teams have a huge amount to play for.

The Redskins have had horrendous luck with injuries but Dallas's defeat to Indianapolis last week and their own victory over Jacksonville means Jay Gruden's side are still in the thick of the playoff hunt.

They had been all but written off after quarterback Alex Smith broke his leg and back-up Colt McCoy then suffered the same misfortune.

Former Jets QB Mark Sanchez came in and struggled and they have now put their faith in Josh Johnson, who hadn't started an NFL game since 2011 before directing them to success over the hapless Jaguars.

This AFC South rival should prove a tougher cookie and the Titans have come to the boil at just the right time.

They extended their winning run to three games by beating the New York Giants last week and as various tie-breakers mean they are ranked behind fellow 8-6 teams Baltimore and Indianapolis, they cannot afford to slip up in the final two weeks, particularly as they face a blockbuster against the Colts on December 30.

Running back Derrick Henry has posted a total of 408 yards in his last two matches and they have won five of their last seven home matches.

However, it would be unwise to dismiss the Redskins completely with Johnson under centre and there looks to be a decent chance that there will be more than 37 points.
