San Diego were in competition with Los Angeles and Cleveland for the most deflating display of NFL Week One.

The Chargers were on the cusp of a valuable divisional win when heading into the fourth quarter with a 14-point lead over Kansas City, but it all went wrong and they fell to an overtime defeat.

They also suffered the hammer blow of losing top receiver Keenan Allen for the season with a knee injury.
