The Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams are two of the stronger teams in the NFC, but both have work to do over the last four weeks of the season as they are locked in close divisional battles.

The Los Angeles Rams were top of the NFC playoff seedings heading into Week 15 but with a pack of teams lining up behind them they can't afford to ease up as the finishing line comes into sight.

The Rams had an impressive six-game winning run ended by the Carolina Panthers two weeks ago but they got back on track by thumping the Arizona Cardinals 45-17 last week.

Sean McVay’s team will come up against an impressive Detroit Lions offence on Sunday but a 5-1 home record for the season suggests they can prove up to the challenge.

The Lions have alternated wins and losses for their last nine games but looked good when beating the Dallas Cowboys 44-30 in their last outing.

Dan Campbell’s squad are only 3-3 on the road this season, however, and have covered the handicap only once in the four games for which they were underdogs on the road.

The Rams have been the more consistent side this season and can gain revenge for their narrow defeats in the teams’ last two meetings.
