Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles preview 

Super Bowl champions the Philadelphia Eagles are in the spotlight in the standalone NFL game on Black Friday but they are on a recovery mission as they host the Chicago Bears after suffering a meltdown in their defeat in Dallas on Sunday.

The Eagles led 21-0 against the Cowboys but then gave up 24 unanswered points to suffer their third loss of the season. Their rushing offence managed just 63 yards against one of the worst defences in the league while their offence put up five punts, a missed field goal and two lost fumbles on their last eight drives. 

They will be out to prove themselves in the holiday-week fixture but they don't appeal giving up a big handicap start against the Bears, who have won eight of their last nine games.

The visitors haven't claimed many major scalps yet but they have won four in a row and their offence has greatly improved under new head coach Ben Johnson this season.

The Eagles should still win, but they may not have the firepower to pull clear and the Bears are worth backing to at least keep the game competitive.
