The Monday night slot is often reserved for one of the most anticipated games of the NFL weekly schedule, but that’s not the case this week and Chicago’s trip to New England could turn into something of a grind.

The Patriots are far from the force of old these days, but they retain the ability to make the most out of what they have under veteran coach Bill Belichick and go into this game with an even record at 3-3.

They had started 1-3 but have recorded dominant wins in the last two weeks, beating the Lions 29-0 and the Browns 38-15 with rookie Bailey Zappe at quarterback.

Zappe has been better than anyone could have expected filling in for starter Mac Jones, who is only in his second season, and there really isn’t much to choose between the two young passers on what we’ve seen so far from Zappe.

The Bears have a worse record at 2-4, but that’s actually better than things have seemed for a team who look set for a season of struggle.

They beat San Francisco in their opener, although that game was played in atrocious conditions, and their other victory came against the mediocre Texans. They are 0-3 on the road and a fourth away loss beckons at the Gillette Stadium.

The Bears are scoring only 15.5 points per game this term and both teams have conceded under 20 points per outing, so the best way to profit from a game that may not be a great watch may be to bank on fewer than 41 points being scored.
