NBA Finals Game 3 predictions

The NBA Finals head to Indianapolis for game three on Thursday morning with the series poised at 1-1 after two games at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.

Indiana Pacers snatched Game One by taking the lead for the first time with the final play of the game, before Oklahoma City Thunder produced a dominant 16-point win in the second meeting.

The Thunder are the favourites for the series and for victory on Thursday  but the Pacers look backable as underdogs in game three.

Oklahoma City lost two games in Denver in the conference semi-finals and one in Minneapolis in the conference finals. That means the Thunder are have lost three of their last five road games, and both their wins during that period have been narrow ones.

The Pacers have won six of eight home games in the postseason and they won their last two games against the New York Knicks at Gainbridge Fieldhouse convincingly in the conference finals. Despite falling to defeat in game two against the Thunder, Indiana ended that contest strongly and they haven’t been behind in a series yet this season. With home advantage the Pacers can keep that run going and reclaim the lead.

In the player markets, over 17.5 points for Indiana’s Tyrese Haliburton looks a strong option. Haliburton scored14 points in the first meeting and 17 in game two, but he’s been more effective in home games and is averaging 18.3 points per-game in home games in the playoffs. He has scored at least 20 in each of his last three games at Thursday night's venue.
