Maciej Janowski was the star of the show in Prague two weeks ago and he can continue his electric start to the season by topping the podium in Wroclaw on Friday.

The in-form Pole was undoubtedly the fastest man on the track in Prague, showing blistering speed to win the series opener before carving through the field to clinch second place in round two the following day.

It was an impressive display on a circuit where he has typically struggled in the past - Janowski has reached the final there only once in his previous seven visits - and he goes into his home Grand Prix brimming with confidence.

The Wroclaw-born star has competed for his local club in the Polish Ekstraliga for the past seven seasons and knows his way around the iconic Olympic Stadium better than any of his rivals.

Janowski tops the home Ekstraliga charts with a stunning 2.65 points per heat average and his speedy bike set-up and renowned overtaking ability are ideally suited to the fast-flowing demands of the circuit.

He sent his Polish fans wild with victory in the second round at the track last year, winning six of his seven heats in the process, and he could be a tough nut to crack once again.

Expect improved displays from Bartosz Zmarzlik and Leon Madsen, while Janowski’s Wroclaw teammate Artem Laguta, who himself is in red-form recent form, rates the main danger.
