British Grand Prix predictions
The stage is set for a thrilling and unpredictable British Grand Prix after world champion Max Verstappen snatched a spectacular pole position at Silverstone.
This season has been all about McLaren, but in cool and occasionally drizzly conditions Verstappen delivered a reminder of why he still carries the number one on his Red Bull.
Verstappen had struggled on Friday but after switching to a very low downforce set-up he denied McLaren drivers Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris a front-row lockout.

The Dutchman will be praying that any rain holds off in the race, though, as his set-up gamble will leave him with very little grip if the track turns slippery.
Verstappen is rated favourite to win the race, but he could prove vulnerable whatever the weather.
His skinny front and rear wings gave him a handy straight-line speed advantage in qualifying, but that could be negated if a rival is able to get close enough to use their DRS overtaking aid. Add to that the fact that the Red Bull's race pace is not the strongest. Verstappen has converted only one of his three previous pole positions into a victory this season.
The Red Bull ace claimed pole by just over a tenth of a second, with a further 0.1 seconds covering the next four drivers, namely Piastri and a trio of Brits – Norris, George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
Hamilton had looked set to leap to the head of the times with his effort, but a scrappy journey around the final corner proved costly.
The Ferrari has looked on the pace this weekend, though, and Hamilton has a remarkable record at Silverstone.
The seven-time world champion ended a two-and-a-half year winless streak at the circuit last year, claiming his ninth Silverstone victory, and he has appeared on the podium after all of the last 12 races held there, including both events the circuit hosted in 2020.
Hamilton has yet to record a top-three finish in a Grand Prix since joining Ferrari but he looks capable of ending that run and extending his podium streak at Silverstone.
He was fourth in Austria last week, while teammate Charles Leclerc has brought the car home in the top three four times this year.

If the rain does arrive, then Esteban Ocon would be very interesting at the prices to climb into the points.
The Frenchman starts 14th but missed out on a place in the top ten by just over two-tenths of a second. His Haas teammate Oliver Bearman was an impressive eighth fastest, to show the potential of the car, but the British rookie had earlier been handed a ten-place grid penalty for crashing under red-flag conditions in practice.
Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli also has a three-place grid penalty for taking out Verstappen on the first lap in Austria last week.
Ocon has finished in the points in both of the last two races despite starting 14th in Canada and 19th in Austria, while he has an excellent record in races where wet tyres have been required.
