F1 Canadian Grand Prix practice betting preview, tip & TV details
Charles Leclerc can hit back for Ferrari at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Practice one Sky Sports F1, 3pm Friday
Practice two Sky Sports F1, 7pm Friday
Ferrari have been outperformed by Mercedes at the last two grands prix, but they should get a chance to hit back in this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix.
The layout of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal poses a similar test to Bahrain and Baku, two circuits where Ferrari - and particularly Charles Leclerc - have shone this year.
The Scuderia have little to show for those races. Power issues robbed Leclerc of victory in the desert while a crash in qualifying ruined his chance in Azerbaijan.
Mercedes have shown few weaknesses this season. They have won all six races, with 1-2 finishes in the first five. But Ferrari's slip-ups skew that statistic and the Italian team could have a chance to break the Silver Arrows' run this weekend, despite an engine upgrade coming for Mercedes.
Leclerc was fastest out of the box in Bahrain and Baku, and looks value to go quickest in the opening practice session in Canada.
Recommendation
C Leclerc fastest in practice one
