Thailand Grand Prix
BT Sport 2, 8am Sunday

There's no course form to go on as the MotoGP riders tackle the first Thailand Grand Prix at the Chang International Circuit on Sunday, but practice performances this week suggest Andrea Dovizioso can throw down a strong challenge to favourite Marc Marquez in the race.

Jorge Lorenzo is missing from the regular contenders for victory after aggravating his injuries from a fall in Aragon with another tumble in Thai practice.

Marquez created history by becoming the first rider forced to come through Q1 to go on to take pole but it was tight at the top in qualifying with Valentino Rossi on the much-improved Yamaha and Dovizioso close behind.

Ducati rider Dovi had been fastest in second, third and fourth practice and looks sure to have the pace to challenge for victory.

Recommendation
A Dovizioso
1pt 9-4 general
