Prelims from 6pm

The UK's top UFC star Darren Till headlines at London's O2 Arena and it should be an explosive main event against Jorge Masvidal - another stand-up striker who likes to fight fire with fire.

Till has a point to prove after suffering the first defeat of his career in his last fight when his welterweight title dream was crushed by a D'Arce choke from Tyron Woodley.

There is no shame in losing a title fight, especially to a fighter as good as Woodley, but if he wants to get back into contention Till must avoid back-to-back defeats and that won't be easy against Masvidal, the 21-10 underdog, who has years of experience fighting at the highest level.

Till has set a goal of winning in the first round, which is a 6-1 shot, but beware that Masvidal has lost by KO or TKO only once is his 45-fight pro MMA career.

Masvidal has 13 defeats on his record, but the last nine were by decision, and four of his last five losses were split-decisions including stellar opponents such as Demian Maia and Benson Henderson. He always comes to fight and is rarely outclassed.

Till is under no illusion that this will be easy, but he is a high-level fighter having spent his formative years living and training in MMA mecca Brazil, becoming well-rounded in many aspects of martial arts, and he will have a considerable size advantage.

Backing Till to win a tight decision after five rounds of non-stop action is a tempting bet at 8-5, but as tough as Masvidal is, the size and power of Till could grind him down and 12-1 that the Gorilla wins in the third round could be the jackpot bet.

Recommendation
D Till to win in round three
1pt 12-1 general
