Preview

Alexander Volkanovski makes the second defence of his featherweight title at UFC 266 against Brian Ortega at an event that also marks the return of Nick Diaz.

Vokanovski beat Max Holloway to win the belt at UFC 245 before retaining against the same opponent at UFC 251, winning both bouts by decision.

Ortega has also recently stepped into the octagon against Holloway, losing by TKO at UFC 231, and that serves as a gauge for how this fight might play out.

Volkanovski is likely to have a higher output and volume that should overwhelm Ortega. Backing the champion to win by decision at 11-8 also offers interest.

The title is on the line in the women's flyweight division when holder Valentina Shevchenko takes on Lauren Murphy.

Shevchenko has already defended her belt on five occasions, winning three inside the distance and she's worth trusting at 9-10 to win by KO or TKO.

Special mention has to go to Diaz before his rematch with Robbie Lawler - 17 years after their first meeting.

Diaz hasn't been seen for six years but Lawler has been fighting regularly during that period and he's the pick at odds-on, while a win by KO or TKO is also worth considering.
