The biggest MMA fight of 2017 takes place in California where Jon Jones - many people's choice as the greatest fighter of all time - will finally have his rematch with Daniel Cormier for the light-heavyweight title.

Jones handed Cormier his only defeat in January 2015 but that proved to be the start of a dramatic fall from grace as a series of controversies outside the ring led to him being stripped of the title and handed several suspensions.

Cormier has taken advantage of Jones' issues and ruled the 205lb division in his absence, but his achievements will count for little in the eyes of the public if he cannot beat his biggest rival.

Jones has fought just once in two and a half years since beating Cormier, but if he can overcome the ring-rust he has plenty of natural advantages.

As well as a superior skillset, Jones is eight years younger, five inches taller and has a huge reach advantage, and it should be remembered that he won the first fight with a convincing decision - all three judges awarded it to Jones by four rounds to one.
