MK Dons should smash unrecognisable Oldham

Latest EFL team news and betting

The EFL swings into action
1 of 1

Oldham v MK Dons
Oldham's starting line-up to face MK Dons this afternoon is almost unrecognisable from the side relegated from Sky Bet League One last season and their squad overhaul may take some time to bed in.

Anthony Gerrard has been axed, while Eoin Doyle and Craig Davies have moved on. Ousmane Fane is sidelined and influential midfielder Jack Byrne is out.

Dons look better equipped under new gaffer Paul Tisdale with Alex Gilbey pulling the strings in midfield and they can get their season off to a flyer.

Recommendation
MK Dons

Cheltenham v Crawley
Crawley boss Harry Kewell has handed league debuts to five players for their trip to Cheltenham and their summer investments could help them get their Sky Bet League Two campaign off to a positive start.

Filipe Morais, who has joined from Bolton, provides their midfield with a touch of class, while fellow debutants Dominic Poleon and Ollie Palmer should make them more potent up front.

Cheltenham, on the other hand, could struggle to adapt to life without last season's leading marksman Mohamed Eisa and Crawley can claim at least a point.

Recommendation
Crawley or draw double chance
2pts 17-20 Hills
