Massive Aguero injury blow for Manchester City
Striker drifts to 12-1 for Golden Boot after car crash
Manchester City have suffered a major blow with the news that Sergio Aguero faces a substantial period on the sidelines after being involved in a car crash during his day off in Amsterdam on Thursday evening.
City have issued a statement saying Aguero "sustained injuries" with reports claiming the striker will be missing for around two months after breaking ribs.
Aguero, the joint top-goalscorer alongside Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata on six Premier League goals, has drifted out to 12-1 from 4-1 to win the Golden Boot. Teammate Gabriel Jesus can now expect even more minutes on the pitch and can be backed at 8-1.
City are out to evens with Sky Bet and Paddy Power to win the Premier League and Aguero's absence is the second setback for Pep Guardiola's squad this week following the news that left-back Benjamin Mendy is out for nine months with a knee injury.
Guardiola's side had been favourites to win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday but those prices have flipped with Chelsea now seen as the more likely winners of Saturday's heavyweight clash.
