Love Island Daily: show fallout, market moves and betting odds

All the latest talking points from the villa

What's happening

The Love Island king and queen of 2019 will be crowned on Monday, July 29 and one thing looks pretty certain - it's not going to be new boy Chris or the latest girl to enter the villa, Francesca.

Nothing against them, although Chris's best banter on dates with Belle and Maura was not the most dynamic, but it is difficult to see how they are going to make an impression in such a short space of time.

Not only do they have to get their skates on, but they are left with trying to infiltrate relationships that look to be set in stone or they have to weave their magic to attract folks who are gutted that they are not getting off with someone else - poor old Amber, for instance, is still pining over fireman Michael.

Francesca took Curtis and Ovie for her dates but the way Maura jumped on departed Amy's ex-half-boyfriend during the lapdancing session by the fire pit suggests the shop owner from Essex will not be able to compete with her feisty love opponent from the Emerald Isle.

Maybe Francesca will get together with Ovie. Let's hope so. He's growing into his role among the villa's supporting cast and seems a thoroughly nice bloke.

It's recoupling night, with the girls doing the choosing, and the last boy left standing will be calling a cab for the airport.

Betting moves

Tommy and Molly-Mae look to be solid favourites and it will probably take a massive bust-up or another unforeseeable turn of events for them not to trouser the £50,000 prize.

However, the 'without' market is getting interesting with Curtis and Maura almost certain to be coupled up tonight.

While they have both had their moments in the villa, they are two of the most dominant personalities and, love them or hate them, there surely aren't many people who will argue that they shouldn't go all the way - in terms of the reality-television competition at least.

Belle jumped on Anton on the outside bed after she returned from her date with Chris and they look solid, but they could be vulnerable favourites at 11-8 with Coral.

The dancer and the ring girl look a much stronger proposition at Sky Bet's 9-4.

Anton and Curtis are both 7-4 in the top male category without Tommy. Those prices were available with Betfair, Hills and Paddy Power.

Maura is the same price to be top female without Molly-Mae with Belle at 2-1.

What might happen next?

One of the lads is off and that's probably bad news for Marvin. He's hardly been seen since arriving from Casa Amor, apart from a dismal attempt to chat up Amber the other night, and, let's face it, he probably packed his case three or four days ago.

It would definitely be harsh if Chris was shown the door instead having only just got through passport control.

So we can expect things to gather pace over the next few days as we head to the climax of the series. Those making up the numbers will soon be off one by one at regular intervals and then we'll get down to the nitty gritty.
