Lions scent blood in chase for top spot
Stormers may face tough battle against Cheetahs
Cheetahs v Stormers
Sky Sports 3, 2.05pm
A month off was probably the last thing the Cheetahs wanted after finally nailing a victory over the lowly Sunwolves to snap a nine-match losing run.
They host the Stormers, who probably welcomed the break having started the season with six wins out of six, then lost six of their next seven.
Fixtures fell badly for the Stormers in that run, with three matches in New Zealand, and they are seven-point favourites for this easier assignment.
But they have rested Springbok forwards Eben Etzebeth and
Siya Kolisi and they have had to face hard-fought battles in Bloemfontein, winning 20-10 there last year after four defeats on the spin.
The Stormers look too good but it could be close.

Lions v Sunwolves
Sky Sports 3, 4.15pm
Top against bottom in the South Africa Group – 12 wins against one – can only go one way and a 35-point handicap looks a fair reflection.
The Lions’ sole defeat was in Buenos Aires in round three, and they followed their successful trip to Australia, where they won three out of three, with two 50-point blowouts against the Bulls and Kings, in which they ran in 15 tries.
The Sunwolves have covered the handicap in four of their six matches against South African opponents, including in a 44-31 defeat at home to this week's opponents in round five.
But the Stormers have named their strongest team as they look to nail home advantage through the playoffs, and another big score looks on the cards.
