League of Ireland: Friday football betting preview and match tips
Sligo Rovers can take the spoils in derby with Derry
It is not being hyped up as much as it used to be but Cork City's visit to Dundalk is nevertheless a compelling encounter.
Cork have problems. Their strikers have really struggled this season and their defence does not seem solid enough to keep Dundalk out.
For all that Dundalk's midfield has been decimated, they have the players to step in, and look big at 8-11 against a Cork team who don't look capable of challenging the Lilywhites at the top of the League of Ireland this season.
Both Bohemians and St Patrick's harbour hopes of finishing in the top four and there should be little between the pair at Dalymount Park. However, the Saints look worth backing at odds-against in the draw-no-bet market.
Playmaker Chris Forrester has been struggling but once he gets into his groove, Pat's should become less reliant on Mikey Drennan in front of goal, while they have been solid at the back.
Derry City and Sligo Rovers contest a north-west derby and Rovers are worth a poke at 4-1, having recorded some decent results on the road this season. Sligo should have Ronan Murray fit to start at Brandywell.
The big game in Division One sees Shelbourne visit Longford Town. The draw seemsbig at 5-2.
