Lappi should be happy on home gravel
Toyota trio the pick of the pack in Finland
BT Sport 1, starts 6pm Thursday
Finns don't dominate rallying as they once did and none of this season's seven events have been won by Finnish drivers, but that could change on home gravel this weekend.
Flying Finns Jari-Matti Latvala and Esapekka Lappi are second and third favourites behind their Estonian Toyota teammate Ott Tanak, and Lappi could offer the best value.
Lappi won last season's event - after Latvala retired from the lead -having won the WRC-2 category for Skoda in 2015 and 2016.
Latvala has superb home form too, with only two failures disturbing an otherwise impressive run of 3-1-2-3-1-1-2 in his home event since 2009.
Tanak is the leading Toyota in the championship, third behind leader Thierry Neuville and Sebastien Ogier, who each have three wins, but he has never finished higher than fifth at the top level in Finland.
Ogier has new rear bodywork on his Ford this week but he has admitted the Toyota trio will be hard to catch and is an 8-1 shot with Neuville, winner of the last two rallies, a 12-1 chance.
