Kolkata captain should enjoy Delhi clash
Trip home may inspire batsman Gambhir
Delhi v Kolkata
Sky Sports 4, 11.30am Monday
Gautam Gambhir plays his domestic cricket for Delhi but the Kolkata Knight Riders captain could upset the home fans when he returns to the capital in the IPL.
At 35, Gambhir’s appetite for Twenty20 runs shows no sign of waning and he has started this campaign in fine touch, with unbeaten innings of 76 against Gujarat Lions and 72 against Kings XI Punjab.
He missed out in Kolkata’s last game, dismissed for 15 after a poor shot against Hyderabad, but he is one of the most consistent runscorers in the competition and Sky Bet’s 11-4 about him top-scoring for the visitors is well worth a bet.
Most bookmakers are unable to split Kolkata, bidding for a fourth win in five games, and a Delhi Daredevils side who have battered Pune and Kings XI by an aggregate margin of 148 runs in their last two outings. An exciting contest looks likely but Gambhir may well enjoy his trip back to his home city.

Hyderabad v Kings XI Punjab
Sky Sports 4, 3.30pm Monday
Hyderabad Sunrisers are 3-4 to inflict a third straight defeat on Kings XI Punjab.
The Sunrisers, defending champions, have won two and lost two of their first four games but this could be a good time to be playing Kings XI.
The Punjab outfit won their first two games under their new captain Glenn Maxwell but the batting frailties that saw them finish bottom of the league in 2016 have returned in their last couple of games.
They were well beaten by Kolkata and Delhi and need their international stars in the middle-order – skipper Maxwell, England’s Eoin Morgan and South Africa’s David Miller – to start firing consistently.
