Jos Buttler gives Rajasthan early batting impetus
England blaster is relishing promotion to Royals opener
Rajasthan v Chennai
Sky Sports Cricket, 3.30pm Friday
Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings returned to the IPL this season after two-year bans and the Super Kings have made the bigger impact.
Veterans such as skipper MS Dhoni, Shane Watson and Dwayne Bravo have played matchwinning hands for Chennai while the unheralded Ambati Rayudu has been one of the most consistent batsmen in the competition.
Consistency has been lacking for Rajasthan, with Sanju Samson flickering intermittently and Ben Stokes, Ajinkya Rahane and D'Arcy Short struggling for runs.
Their latest batting reshuffle appears to be paying off, however, with England's Jos Buttler relishing his promotion to the top of the order.#
Buttler bashed 67 off 26 balls against Delhi before making 51 and a matchwinning 82 in the double-header against Kings XI Punjab.
These golden runs of form don't last for ever but given the shortage of confidence among his fellow batsmen, Buttler appeals in the top Royals runscorer betting.
The game takes place in Jaipur and in-play punters should note that batsmen struggled to score freely against spin in Tuesday's game.
Kings XI slow bowler Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 2-21 in his four overs while Rajasthan's Ish Sodhi and Krishnappa Gowtham had miserly combined figures of 3-26 from seven overs.
