Jon Rahm can prove his worth in Dallas
Koepka could win close threeball
Sky Sports Golf, 9pm Friday
There have been questions over Brooks Koepka's form since he missed nearly four months with a wrist injury, but the Florida native is beginning to look back to his best.
He put on a fine performance at the Players Championship last week, where he finished tied for 11th and carded a strong 63 on the final day, which included holing an albatross on the 16th. He followed that with an even-par 70 in the opening round at Fort Worth.
That included a 31-foot putt on the fifth and three birdies on the final four holes to keep him in the mix, and tied for 61st overnight he will need to go on the attack as he prepares for the defence of his US Open crown.
He plays alongside last week’s Players Championship winner Webb Simpson and Adam Scott, who finished that tournament tied for ninth. Both players have shown decent form and have performed well at the course, but Koepka is attractive odds to edge his rivals in what should be a close contest between the trio.
Jon Rahm has fond memories of Fort Worth after finishing a close runner-up behind Kevin Kisner last year, and should have what it takes to remain in the mix this time out.
Despite a recent dip in form the Spaniard put in a solid round of 68 to end the day two under after firing five birdies.
The former Farmers Insurance Open winner was tied for 30th after the first round, but with plenty of players clustered together he could easily force his way into contention.
