Jari-Matti Latvala could be big value in Catalunya
Sebastien Ogier battling Thierry Neuville for WRC title
Rally Catalunya of Spain
Starts 5.08pm Thursday
It's all to play for with two events left in the World Rally Championship after Sebastien Ogier moved within seven points of leader Thierry Neuville by winning in Great Britain last time out.
Bookmakers go evens about both drivers with only this week's Rally Catalunya of Spain and the finale in Australia to come. Third-placed Ott Tanak is third after crashing out last time having won the three previous rallies. He is a 6-1 chance to pip the front two.
Ogier and Tanak were second and third respectively to Kris Meeke in this event last season, when Neuville retired.
Neither Neuville nor Tanak have had much joy in Spain, an unusual event in which the first day is run on gravel roads with the second and third on asphalt. Ogier has much happier memories of the race having won it in 2013, 2014 and 2016.
Tanak's teammate Jari-Matti Latvala is an interesting contender. Second in the last two rallies, he was on the podium in Spain every year from 2011 to 2015 and has solid each-way credentials although title hopeful Tanak would be favoured by the team if they are close on the final day.
