Best Premier League bet

Liverpool v Everton
Sky Sports Premier League & Main Event, 4.30pm Saturday

Liverpool showed no mercy to traditional rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Tuesday and a similarly ruthless performance is expected when the Reds host neighbours Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp's men swept aside United 4-0, restricting the Red Devils to just two attempts at Alisson's goal, and they are worth backing to complete another victory to nil against the Toffees.

Key forward Mohamed Salah ended his lean spell in front of goal with a brace on Tuesday but Liverpool's defenders have had starring roles recently, helping them to six wins to nil in their last seven outings.

The only blot on that record came in a 2-2 draw at Manchester City, whose one-point lead in the title race means there should be no complacency from the Reds despite the gulf in class between them and Everton.

Frank Lampard's men needed an injury-time equaliser from Richarlison to earn a point at home to Leicester on Wednesday. The Toffees had scored just five goals in their previous eight league matches, two of them Richarlison penalties, so Liverpool should be confident of keeping them quiet this weekend.

Best EFL bet

West Brom v Coventry 3pm Saturday

The ante-post markets in the Championship were not expecting Coventry to be two points better off than West Brom with just three games of the season left and the impressive Sky Blues may enjoy their trip to The Hawthorns.

Both teams were well beaten on Monday as Cov lost 3-0 at home to promotion-chasing Bournemouth and the Baggies went down 4-0 at Nottingham Forest.

The loss at the City Ground was West Brom's third in five matches, following a 1-0 defeat at struggling Birmingham and a 3-1 home reverse to Stoke, while they needed a late goal to see off Blackpool 2-1 in their last game on their own patch.

Coventry need a perfect end to the season to have any chance of pinching the final playoff spot so they are unlikely to sit back against their inconsistent hosts, particularly after winning their last two away games 4-2 at Birmingham and 3-1 at champions-elect Fulham.

They thumped Sheffield United at home 4-1 while their away results in 2022 include wins at Peterborough (4-1), Reading (3-2) and Bristol City (2-1) so they are a tempting price to score two or more goals against the Baggies.

Best European bet

St-Etienne v Monaco BT Sport ESPN, 6pm Saturday

Just three points separate five teams in the race for the third Champions League spot in Ligue 1 and fifth-placed Monaco should maintain their hot streak when they travel to St-Etienne on Saturday.

Aleksandr Golovin scored the only goal as Monaco beat derby rivals Nice on Wednesday night to stretch their winning run in the French top flight to five games.

Impressively, that sequence also includes a 3-2 victory at third-placed Rennes and a 3-0 rout of runaway leaders Paris St-Germain while Philippe Clement's side also won 1-0 at second-placed Marseille on March 6.

Those successes against the strongest teams in France suggest they should be too good for St-Etienne, who have taken just two points from a possible 30 against top-seven teams this season, conceding 35 goals in those ten games.

They were walloped 6-2 by lowly Lorient earlier this month and could be outclassed by Monaco's in-form strike partnership of Kevin Volland and Wissam Ben Yedder.

Weekend accumulators

Exeter
The Grecians' 2-0 loss at playoff-chasing Tranmere on Monday means they must stay focused as they bid to seal automatic promotion from League Two and visitors Rochdale have lost their last five away games.

Blowout
Tottenham
Spurs had been in formidable form before a toothless display in last weekend's home defeat to Brighton but they are no certainties to bounce back on their trip to in-form Brentford.
