Match preview

Poland will face off against Iceland in the last of their warm-up matches for the European Championship that begins on Friday.

The Poles were held 1-1 by fellow qualifiers Russia in their latest friendly but Paolo Sousa had put out a makeshift side without talisman Robert Lewandowski.

The Bayern Munich man is likely to turn out for this clash and Poland can show their dominance against an Iceland team who have struggled recently, losing three of their last five games.

Despite their poor results, Iceland have been hitting the net with regularity, notching seven goals in their last three matches and it may pay to back both teams to score in a Poland win.

France also round off their preparations for Euro 2020 on Tuesday, with a friendly against Bulgaria.

Les Bleus were comfortable 3-0 victors over Wales last Wednesday and they shouldn’t struggle here against a Bulgaria side who last won 13 games ago.

Karim Benzema played the full 90 minutes against the Welsh as Olivier Giroud was left out after his Champions League exploits with Chelsea.

As a result manager Didier Deschamps is likely to give Giroud game time and the 7-2 about him opening the scoring appeals for a striker who has 44 goals for his country.
