Match preview

The Colts aren’t one of the worst teams in the league right now, but they are playing like it, and things are unlikely to get any better when they take on the Ravens.

Indianapolis’s offensive line has been a mess without Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith and they’ve already given up a double-digit tally of sacks on the season.

They haven’t been great at opening holes for running back Jonathan Taylor either, and those struggles are likely to continue when they face Baltimore’s ferocious defensive front.

The Ravens don’t boast the same defence they had in the Ray Lewis era but they are very good.

They rank 12th in total defence in the NFL and that defence put on a demonstration of their talents against the Denver Broncos in Week Four.

They held Denver to seven points and apart from a monster 31-yard run by Javonte Williams, they shut down the Broncos completely.

It marked the second week in a row that the Ravens were able to lock down an offence, although the first week came against the struggling Detroit Lions.

With Colts hardly lighting up the NFL on offence - they currently rank 26th in total offence - this should be another week of holding an opponent to under 20 points.

If that happens, the Ravens can cover a 6.5-point spread at home under the Monday night lights.
