In-form Ingram can be cut above again for Glamorgan against Hants
Somerset success set to continue in Taunton tussle with Surrey
Glamorgan v Hampshire
Sky Sports Cricket, 7pm Friday
South Group highflyers Glamorgan won by just six runs against Essex last time out but it will likely be a more routine victory when they host Hampshire in the Twenty20 Blast.
While Hampshire continue to crumble at the crease, posting scores of 129 and 88 in their last two matches, Glamorgan are eyeing a fifth successive Blast win.
The hosts have surpassed 190 runs on three occasions this year and passed 200 against Gloucestershire.
Their skipper Colin Ingram returned with a bang after a short illness to put on scores of 46 not out and 89 against Middlesex and Essex and he could be worth a bet to finish the game’s top scorer.
Ingram has been remarkably consistent, failing to reach 25 runs just once in this year’s Blast.
Somerset have lost only once at home in the Blast, winning eight of their 11 matches in the competition, and they can bolster their reputation as the South Group’s top team with victory over Surrey.
Surrey have had an issue with opposing opening batsmen, conceding 189 runs to the opening pairs of their last two opponents. Somerset number one Johann Myburgh has been in fine form and can once again lead them to victory.
