Hurricanes can cause a storm after the break

Waratahs conceding too many tries

The champion Canes and the Tahs are two of the most expansive outfits in Super Rugby so game one of round seven should be an entertaining encounter in Wellington, and the best bet could be to back the second half to feature more tries.

Both games at the Westpac this season have seen more tries after the break, with the Hurricanes destroying the Rebels and hammering the Highlanders.

The Waratahs cannot stop leaking tries and the Crusaders confirmed a fourth defeat in six for Daryl Gibson's charges on Sunday with a tour de force last 25 minutes in Sydney that made the try count five-four in favour of the second half.

The Tahs will be determined to tighten up after horrible starts to their two tour games in South Africa, but the Canes are becoming experts at waiting for defences to tire and exploiting gaps.

Recommendation
More tries in the second half
