Highlanders look too strong for Cheetahs in Bloemfontein

Landers have won five on the spin

The Highlanders are looking good

Sky Sports, From 6pm Friday

The Highlanders can give up 13 points to hosts the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein (Sky Sports Mix, 6pm Friday).

The Landers have won five on the spin after a sluggish start to the season, scoring at least 40 points three times, and won 45-24 on their last visit to the Free State. Last week’s 48-21 loss to the Crusaders was a sixth straight defeat for the Cheetahs.

Last year’s runners-up the Lions should make it nine wins for the campaign at the Rebels (Sky Sports 2, 6am Saturday) but victory rather than the scoreline could be their focus so instead back the Chiefs to run riot against the Reds (Sky Sports 5, 8.35am Saturday).

The Chiefs will be angry at how they coasted home last week against the Sunwolves.

Yorkshire Carnegie are 1-3 to beat Ealing Trailfinders in Friday night’s RFU Championship playoff semi-final second leg at Headingley. Carnegie won 34-16 at Ealing last Friday.
