Healthy Noren can boss his threeball

Prolific winner in the groove

Alex Noren in action at Abu Dhabi
1 of 1

Sky Sports 4, 6.30am Thursday
Event starts 3.30am

Rafa Cabrera-Bello was labouring with a back problem over the weekend at the Abu Dhabi Championship and the Spaniard comes with no guarantee of performing well in the first round of the Qatar Masters.

Cabrera-Bello has obviously been getting the best treatment available since Abu Dhabi, but even if fully fit he has a job on his hands to win his Qatar threeball against Alex Noren and Ernie Els. Noren looks a bargain at 11-8 for the 8.20am contest.

Noren, world number ten after winning four times last year, beat Cabrera-Bello by two shots in Abu Dhabi and can assert his superiority again in Qatar.

Els has missed four cuts in a row in low-grade events, slumping to 386th in the world rankings.

Recommendation
A Noren to win threeball
