Hacken can hack up against bogey team Elfsborg

Wasps have lost just two of 11 Swedish league games

Hacken manager Mikael Stahre

Swedish Allsvenskan
6pm Friday

Hacken absolutely hate their trips to Boras to take on Elfsborg but this visit could end in a rare victory.

The head-to-head meetings make horrid reading for a Hacken side who have won just once in their last 24 away games against Elfsborg. The hosts have triumphed 12 times in that sequence with 11 draws.

Hacken finished only tenth in the Swedish standings last season but they look a better coached team these days under Mikael Stahre.

The boss has managed much bigger sides in AIK Solna and IFK Gothenburg previously and looks a good fit for the Wasps.

Hacken have lost just two of their 11 league games this season and conceded only once in their five away trips. Defensively they are clearly doing everything right and offensively there is much more to come.

Stahre's side started this round of matches with the second-highest amount of shots in the division behind leaders Malmo, while they are top of the shots-on-target statistics.

Elfsborg are no more than average in the shots department so their ninth place in the Allsvenskan looks about right and a repeat of last season's fifth place is possibly out of reach this term.

The hosts have won four matches this season - against AFC United (currently 16th of 16 teams), Orebro (12th), Kalmar (14th) and Jonkopings Sodra (11th) - and this is much tougher.
