There are two tournaments left for golf punters to consider this year, with the Mauritius Open on the DP World Tour getting the ball rolling.

Mont Choisy Le Golf, Grand Baie, Mauritius will host the likes of Thomas Detry, Dean Burmester, Sami Valimaki and Sunday's shock 200-1 Alfred Dunhill champion Ockie Strydom, with the event starting on Thursday.

After Mauritius, the DP World Tour takes a break until the inaugural Hero Cup at Abu Dhabi GC in the second week of January.

The other tournament for the betting community to consider this week is the increasingly popular PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton, Florida, where Tiger Woods and his son Charlie will again take centre stage. The two-day shootout starts on Saturday.

John Daly and his son John Daly II will be looking to successfully defend their title in the family pairs event. Twenty Major champions will be in attendance. Jordan Spieth is making his debut, alongside father Shawn.

Tom Hoge and Sahith Theegala, 7-1 chances ante-post, edged a tight QBE Shootout on Sunday evening. Theegala holed a crucial birdie putt at the final hole as the first-time duo defeated Charley Hoffman and Ryan Palmer by a shot, with Harris English and Matt Kuchar alone in third spot.

The PGA Tour resumes with the Sentry Tournament of Champions in the first week of next month.
