Bruce Millington and Steve Palmer are back for this week's edition of the Sweet Spot, the Racing Post's weekly golf tipping show in association with BoyleSports.

With next week's Open Championship fast approaching, the majority of the world's top stars are heading to The Renaissance Club this week for their final warm-up event.

Steve has cast his eye over the high-quality Scottish Open field and come up with five selections. His stable is led by this year's nearly man of golf, who is fancied to end his streak of near-misses in East Lothian.

This week's other co-sanctioned tournament comes from Kentucky, which is hosting the Barbasol Championship.

Steve has a trio of fancies for the low-key event, while he has also picked out two to follow at healthy prices at this week's Senior Players Championship at Firestone.
