Sore Johnson set to start Masters campaign despite fall

Reports from Augusta National indicate that Dustin Johnson will start the Masters after deciding he is fit enough to compete despite falling down stairs on tournament-eve.

Johnson tested himself on the driving range at Augusta National in the hours leading up to his 7.03pm tee-time, before giving the thumbs-up that he was going to attempt to win the Green Jacket.

Punters and bookmakers alike have been speculating all day as to whether the injury would stop Johnson playing in the event. Having been a general 6-1 chance all week, he drifted to 10-1.

Betfred, BoyleSports and Paddy Power have pledged to return stakes on Johnson if he fails to complete the first round.

Sky Bet will refund if he fails to complete nine holes. Hills will refund stakes as a free bet if he pulls out before his tee shot on the tenth hole.
