Dean Burmester to win the Steyn City Championship
3pts 7-2 general
Story so far
Shaun Norris matched the 54-hole scoring record on the DP World Tour, carding a Saturday 67 to reach 23 under par in Steyn City, South Africa.
The Johanessburg-born 39-year-old, who has won five times on the Japan Tour, twice on the Asian Tour and twice on the Sunshine Tour, is four shots clear of the Steyn City field.
Dean Burmester, who drifted from 16-1 favourite to 18-1 ante-post, is alone in second place. While Norris is seeking his breakthrough at this level, Burmester has won twice on the European Tour, most recently in the Tenerife Open last May. Burmester has another seven Sunshine Tour triumphs to his name.
Norris, a pre-tournament 66-1 chance, is a general 2-5 market leader to convert his advantage into victory. Burmester is a general 7-2, while German ace Matti Schmid, alone in third place, can be backed at 11-1.

Final-round preview
Shaun Norris is such a neat and tidy player, with an economical swing which not much can go wrong with, and it is no surprise he has been so successful on short courses in Japan.
The combination of Norris churning out fairways and greens this week, while carrying a long putter which often resembles a magic wand, has had him in charge of this event throughout.
The two highest-ranked players in the field are first and second on the Steyn City leaderboard. The highest-ranked player - Burmester - is a more attractive option at 7-2 than the leader at 2-5.
Norris has been bowling along seemingly without a care in the world, but everyone in golf knows how different Sunday golf can be do Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Norris has been a prolific champion of low-grade events, but a DP World Tour title would be a significant career boost.
In the expectation that Norris might start to feel twitchy in round four, while Burmester calms down and cuts out the tantrums which has hampered his challenge, the powerhouse of the duo is recommended as the outright investment.
Anyone going into battle this week without Burmester was a brave - probably foolhardy - punter. The course sets up wonderfully for him and there is precious little in the way of quality opposition.
With the likes of George Coetzee (tied for 18th place, 12 shots off the pace) and Oliver Bekker (tied for eighth place, nine behind) needing Sunday miracles to take the trophy, Burmester from only four shots off the pace will fancy his chances.
There has been a rage about Burmester this week - he clearly expects to win - and that unhelpful fire may dissipate if Norris provides some early encouragement.
Burmester, aided by a forecast morning shower, can overtake Norris and repel Matti Schmid, Sebastian Soderberg, Romain Langasque and Bekker. Norris and Burmester tee off at 12.35pm local time (10.35am UK and Ireland) in the final twoball.
