Preview

Patrick Cantlay and Sungjae Im, first and second in the Shriners Children's Open betting, will play alongside each other for the first two rounds. The Californian and the Korean are late starters in round one, teeing off at 8.24pm UK and Ireland time.

The marquee morning match at TPC Summerlin features two Kims who starred in the Presidents Cup last time out - Si Woo and Tom. The Internationals duo will join Max Homa in the 3.24pm threeball.

Harry Hall may not get much of the early Shriners spotlight, but the Las Vegas-based Englishman is extremely comfortable at TPC Summerlin and seems worth backing at 9-2 to be his leading countryman after 72 holes.

Hall, who went to the University of Nevada, earned a PGA Tour card by finishing 17th on the Korn Ferry Tour standings last season. Last year, he finished eighth on his Shriners debut after getting a sponsors invite. This time, he is a card-carrying PGA Tour rookie.

Hall, relishing the chance to tee up again in his adopted home city, can be preferred to Aaron Rai, Matt Wallace, Callum Tarren and Ben Taylor in the five-man English section, while the most appealing first-round threeballs plays are Martin Laird, Maverick McNealy and Seamus Power.

Laird, who has spent much of his life living in the desert (Arizona), loves this track and is a two-time Shriners champion. Laird looks a big price against Andrew Landry and Brendon Todd.

McNealy, who lives in Vegas and has his coach Butch Harmon there, can outscore Ben Martin and Sam Ryder, while Seamus Power, another Tour pro who uses Summerlin as a practice base, has an edge over JJ Spaun and Ryan Brehm.
