Preview

There is one British player who stands out in the LIV Golf crowd as the odd one out - and he appears to represent the best value in the top Brit market for LIV Golf Boston.

There are three veterans in the 'well past their best' category - Lee Westwood, Ian Poulter and Graeme McDowell - and one increasingly injury-prone 45-year-old in Paul Casey who may be heading in the same direction. It is entirely understandable why this quartet would take the LIV money.

Then there is Laurie Canter and Richard Bland - a pair who have failed to make any serious impact at any decent level. Without LIV, this English duo would have little hope of earning fortunes. The seventh Brit who has made the leap, though, is 25-year-old Sam Horsfield.

With a bit more patience, Horsfield would almost certainly have developed into a PGA Tour star, but the Florida-based powerhouse has opted for immediate LIV riches. This week's Boston event seems a golden opportunity for the three-time DP World Tour champion to bank a healthy cheque.

Horsfield won the Soudal Open in May before making the switch and there is every reason to believe he can establish himself as LIV's top Brit over the next year or so, as the old-timers wane further.

Matthew Wolff, another power-packed youngster, appeals in the first-round-leader market. The Californian closed with a 64 for runner-up honours in the last LIV event and in his short career on the PGA Tour, this explosive talent signed for a round of 62 or better three times.

Bet365 are offering a full range of markets for LIV Golf, including straight forecasts, and outright fancies Dustin Johnson and Wolff are worth following to small stakes.

Forecast punters are not without hope in this tiny, top-heavy line-up, with the 48-runner Boston field featuring also-rans such as Jediah Morgan, Chase Koepka and Wade Ormsby.
