Preview

It is a surprise to find Rasmus Hojgaard freely available at odds-against for his ISPS Handa Championship first-round threeball, so supporting the Danish youngster is recommended for the 1pm UK and Ireland time match.

Hojgaard impressed on the PGA Tour when last seen, finishing sixth in the Corales Puntacana Championship and 18th in the Texas Open, so the 21-year-old's confidence levels are high as he returns to his home circuit.

The three-time DP World Tour champion has some experience of the Lakes Course, finishing sixth in a Nordic Golf League event there and fifth in the European Tour Q School Finals at the same venue, so he should be able to hit the ground running.

Victor Perez and Jorge Campillo are Hojgaard's playing partners. Perez has endured a serious career wobble, dropping from 30th in the world rankings to 146th in the last 13 months, losing ace caddie JP Fitzgerald along the way.

Campillo has just slipped outside the top 300 of the world rankings, so Hojgaard seems by far the most likely to boss this group.
