Si Woo Kim overcame a three-shot final-round deficit to win the Sony Open in Hawaii on Sunday, claiming a fourth PGA Tour title with a six-under-par Sunday 64.

Kim, 40-1 ante-post, carded back-to-back weekend rounds of 64, following a pair of 67s on Thursday and Friday, posting an 18-under-par 72-hole total. Hayden Buckley needed a birdie at the par-five 18th to match that score, but he leaked his approach shot into rough short of the green and failed to get up and down.

Kim, who was 15-2 going into the final round, chipped in at the 17th hole for birdie, then closed with a two-putt birdie at the 18th. The former Players Championship victor tees up this week in The American Express, a tournament he won in 2021.

Joining Kim in California this week for a high-class AmEx will be Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Tony Finau, Tom Kim, Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler and Will Zalatoris.

The DP World Tour stays in Abu Dhabi for the Abu Dhabi Championship at Yas Links. Continental Europe, the 5-4 outsiders, won the inaugural Hero Cup 14.5-10.5 on Sunday at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.

Nicolai Hojgaard, Guido Migliozzi, Francesco Molinari and Victor Perez were the top scorers - all winning three and a half points. The top Great Britain and Ireland scorers were Tommy Fleetwood and Robert MacIntyre, who both won three points.

Fleetwood and MacIntyre are in the field for the Abu Dhabi Championship. A court case is pending on the participation of LIV golfers in DP World Tour events, but they are free to tee up this week, with Lee Westwood, Henrik Stenson and Patrick Reed among the Abu Dhabi entrants.
