Four players are tied for the lead at the halfway stage of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas and Patrick Cantlay is among them.

Cantlay, who has finished first and second in this tournament the last two years, shares top spot with Kevin Na, Lucas Glover and Brian Stuard. Cantlay was biggest at 12-1 ante-post, but a best-price 100-30 is available after 36 holes.

Na, who won at TPC Summerlin in 2011 when the event was called the Justin Timberlake Open, is second in the betting. The Korean-born American lives in Las Vegas and won the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial in May.

Cantlay and Na are the two most appealing options of the front four, but there are numerous dangermen lurking just off the pace who will expect to have a say in matters over the final two rounds.

Scottsdale resident Matt Jones enjoys desert golf and is only a shot behind, Beau Hossler relishes this course and is in position to threaten for an overdue maiden title, Ryan Moore and Webb Simpson have strong records at TPC Summerlin, while Racing Post Sport pre-tournament selections Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin are close enough and good enough to contend from just three shots off the lead.

Third-round twoball punters are pointed towards Hossler (8.30pm UK and Ireland time) and Chesson Hadley (6.25pm). Hossler, twice a runner-up on the PGA Tour and three times a runner-up on the Koren Ferry Tour, is a value outsider at odds-against to defeat Sam Ryder.
And Hadley, fifth in the 2013 Shriners, fourth in 2017 and lively in the Safeway Open last week, can account for Joel Dahmen, who has never bettered 69th place at Summerlin.
