Rory McIlroy claimed his 20th PGA Tour title in Las Vegas on Sunday night, the Northern Irishman fending off Collin Morikawa to win the CJ Cup at Summit Club by one shot.

Morikawa fired a final-round 62 to set the clubhouse lead at 24 under par, but McIlroy holed an eagle putt from off the green at the 14th, then parred his way home at 25 under. McIlroy, 18-1 ante-post and 5-2 going into the final round trailing Rickie Fowler by two shots, became only the 39th player in history to reach 20 PGA Tour triumphs.

The PGA Tour moves to Japan this week for the Zozo Championship, where Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama, Fowler and Xander Schauffele are among the entrants for Narashino Country Club. The course hosted the inaugural Zozo in 2019, before it was staged at Sherwood Country Club, California, last year.

Matt Fitzpatrick was the 14-1 winner of the Andalucia Masters on Sunday, but the Sheffield man is skipping this week's Mallorca Open. Sam Horsfield and Thomas Pieters are among the runners at Golf Santa Ponsa.
