Goals likely in PSG raid on Rennes
Cavani and co entertain on the road
Home fans at Roazhon Park have largely been entertained this season and over 2.5 goals looks the bet.
Hosts Rennes will be hopeful that a 6-0 French Cup win at Biarritz on Sunday has put a spring in their step after four games without a win in all competitions before the winter break. That run includes a first Ligue 1 home loss of the season against Bastia and a 7-0 tonking at Monaco in the League Cup.
Visitors Paris St-Germain will want to keep up the pressure on top two Nice and Monaco and have ticked over tidily since ending their pre-Christmas league stint with a 5-0 Parc des Princes thumping of Lorient. They have scored nine goals and conceded none in see-ing off Bastia and Metz in home cup outings and also beat Club Africain 3-0 in a Paris friendly.
But PSG lost their last league away outing 2-1 at Guingamp and, whatever the outcome, nine of their 12 road games in all competitions have seen three or more goals scored.
PSG beat Rennes 4-0 in Paris in November, with 24-goal Edinson Cavani, Adrien Rabot and Massimo Verrati among the scorers and the home defence will be without the sidelined Pedro Mendes.
Giovanni Sio is missing up front for Rennes but Kamil Grosicki and the midfield know where the net is too.
